BAUER Tandem-pendulum unit
Development for the future
Faster, bigger, more efficient - The current requirements which need to be fulfilled by pump units are very high, therefore the Bauer tandem pendulum unit is a further core piece of every polyester tanker. By the independently oscillating Achsholme even ground pressure is ensured. Likewise, the pendulum geometry ensures parallelism on the slope which cannot be reached by spring-mounted units. Therefore the Gülleverteilkegel is not affected and application close to the ground is possible without levelling the ground, which can be very expensive.
Steering axle as standard
Each BAUER pendulum-unit is equipped with a load-sensing steering stabilizer. This unique patented principle of the BPW steering axle is second to none compared to conventional steering axle constructions as the axle does not require power assisted steering stabilizer elements. Axle beam and axle arms are connected via a steering bolt with cupping thrust bearings. When driving straight ahead (0-position) the cupping pressure discs keep the wheels on track. The weight of the vehicle presses the presses cupping of the lower and upper thrust bearings together. The wheels remain in a correct and stable straight-ahead position. If the trailer follows the tractor in a curve the follow-up movement ensures that the wheels turn in the corresponding radius (the pressure discs slide over each other ) Depending on the load on the axle (stub shaft) the friction resistance changes.
